Rich is the founder and President of Family
Wealth Management, Inc. A Certified Public
Accountant with more than 27 years of professional
experience, Rich has specialized in tax,
financial and investment planning for the
past 23 years.
Rich is also a partner in the regional
public accounting firm of Meyers Brothers
Kalicka, P.C. In 1990, he became one of
the first CPAs in Massachusetts to earn
the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS)
designation. The PFS accreditation was established
for CPAs who specialize in personal financial
planning and is awarded exclusively to members
of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants who have demonstrated considerable
experience and expertise in that area. The
CPA/PFS designation is held by less than
one percent of all CPAs throughout the United
States. Rich is also a member of the National
Association of Personal Financial Advisors
(NAPFA), which is the nation’s leading
organization dedicated to the advancement
of fee-only comprehensive financial planning.
On a national level, Rich has been a speaker
at the AICPA National Investment Planning
Conference and has served as an instructor
for the AICPA's Personal Financial Planning
Certificate of Educational Achievement Program.
Rich received his BSBA in Accounting (summa
cum laude) from Boston University and his
MBA from the University of Southern California.
He is a member of the American Institute
of Certified Public Accountants, the Massachusetts
Society of Certified Public Accountants
and the Estate Planning Council of Hampden
County, Inc.
When he’s not working, Rich enjoys
spending time with his wife, golfing and
working out in the gym and swimming pool.
In his younger days he spent seven weeks bicycling
cross-country from the Atlantic to the Pacific.
Community service is also important to Rich,
having been involved with several volunteer
nonprofit organizations including the Jimmy
Fund, Jewish Geriatric Services Inc. and many
other community agencies.
